Which 5.7 Hemi Crankshaft Do I Need?

The 5.7L HEMI V8 (345 ci) has used two different crankshaft designs since it launched in 2003. The main difference is nose length and how the reluctor wheel is handled during installation.

Why a Rebuilt 5.7 Hemi Cranshaft Kit is the Best Choice

A rebuilt 5.7 Hemi crankshaft kit from Crankshaft Supply costs much less than a new OEM crankshaft and holds up just as well. We carefully test, repair, balance, and restore crankshafts before perfectly matching them with main and rod bearings, ensuring the correct operational fit in your engine.

More Affordable Than New OEM

A new OEM 5.7 Hemi crankshaft from the dealer costs significantly more and is often hard to find in stock. A rebuilt kit reuses your original core, which lowers material and labor costs. You get the same forged steel your engine already had, without dealer markup.

Reliable, Proven Process

Each kit is thermal cleaned, steel shot-blasted, and inspected at the boltholes and keyways. Worn journals are restored, machined, and polished. Oil holes are chamfered and deburred, and oil passages are cleaned and treated with rust inhibitor. Crankshaft Supply has repaired and remanufactured crankshafts for over 70 years.

Stronger Than Cheap Aftermarket

Your original 5.7 Hemi crankshaft was forged, not cast. Remanufactured crankshafts are often as cost-effective as low-cost new aftermarket crankshafts. But there is a big difference! Cheaply manufactured crankshafts are cast instead of forged, which makes them more prone to cracking and flexing under load. A rebuilt kit keeps the original forged core and restores it to spec, so you get factory-grade strength without the risk of an unproven cast replacement.

Returning your old core also supports lower costs and faster turnaround for every future customer.

Remanufactured 5.7 Hemi Crankshaft FAQ

It depends on your vehicle's model year. Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep 5.7L HEMI vehicles built through 2008 use a crankshaft with a 3.790″ nose length (part #19094). Vehicles built 2009 and later use a shorter 3.320″ nose crankshaft (part #19100). Check your build date or VIN if you're unsure.

The main differences are nose length and reluctor ring handling. Part #19094 has a 3.790″ nose and requires you to transfer the reluctor ring from your old crankshaft. Part #19100 has a 3.320″ nose and reuses the reluctor ring as-is.
